Millennium Scholarship Winners Announced
Chantu Nguyen, CCOC Counselor, was pleased to announce this year's Millennium Scholarship Winners:
- Rico Cesa, CCOC Carpentry AM San Jose Job Corps Student
- Jeff Kershaw CCOC HVAC PM Oak Grove HS Student
Rico and Jeff will receive an award of $1,000 each to spend on tuition, books, supplies and other related trade expenses. They were selected based on their CCOC performance, attendance record, career goals, teacher's recommendations, and 2 oral interviews.
Millennium Scholarships are sponsored by Millennium Enterprises Incorporated, which is owned by Terry Babb and Gerry Jensen. Gerry attended CCOC in the HVAC program and is currently on the MetroED Foundation Board, and Terry, who was always working in the framing field, decided that it would be great to support CCOC through a scholarship program for students in Carpentry and HVAC programs.
** Millennium Enterprises will have the final decision on recipients.
